最初のシーンで「聞く」という言葉を用いたので、ちょうどこの言葉の反対の空間を作ることに決めた。つまり防音の空間である。この空間で、観客には不気味さを感じてほしい。このシーンは遮音素材を用いてアナログに作り、音響と照明を用いてデジタルで改良した。
For the first scene, I chose the word “listen” and therefore decided to create a room that is the exact opposite: a soundproof room. This room is intended to make the viewer feel uncomfortable. The scene was created in an analog way with soundproofing material enhanced digitally with sound and lighting.
Für die erste Szene habe ich das Wort „zuhören” verwendet und deshalb beschlossen, einen Raum zu schaffen, der das genaue Gegenteil dieses Wortes ist: einen schalldichten Raum. Dieser Raum ist derjenige, in dem sich der Betrachter unwohl fühlen soll. Die Szene wurde analog mit schalldämpfendem Material erstellt und digital mit Ton und Beleuchtung verbessert.

Which parts are your favorite and why?
特に気に入っているのは、多くをアナログで作業し、デジタルで改良したことだ。このようにしてリアルな空間あるいはシーンを作った。アナログのコンセプトと造形におけるお気に入りの点は、最終作品を手に取れることと、何を創ったかを感じ取れることである。また新しい技術を試し、今まではそうする必要がなかったことにも挑戦できたことも気に入っている。
One of my favorite parts is that a lot of it was done in an analog way and enhanced digitally. This way real rooms or scenes were created. One of my favorite aspects of designing and creating something in this fashion is that you can hold the final results in your hands and really feel what you have made. I also like that I got to try out new techniques and face challenges that I had never faced before.
Was mir besonders gefällt ist, dass vieles analog gemacht und digital verbessert wurde. Auf diese Weise wurden echte Räume oder Szenen geschaffen. Einer meiner Lieblingsaspekte beim analogen Entwerfen und Gestalten ist, das Endergebnis in den Händen halten zu können und wirklich zu spüren, was man geschaffen hat. Mir gefällt auch, dass ich neue Techniken ausprobieren und mich Herausforderungen stellen konnte, denen ich mich vorher nicht stellen musste.

What did you have in mind when you were creating this piece?
何よりも『華氏451度』という本自体のことを意識したが、新しいことを試し、本当に創造の自由がなすがままにさせることも考えた。
I mostly thought about the book Fahrenheit 451, but also considered the value of trying new things and giving myself creative freedom.
Ich habe vor allem an das Buch „Fahrenheit 451” selbst gedacht, aber auch daran, neue Dinge auszuprobieren und mir wirklich kreative Freiheit zu lassen.
